Therese Scheer honoured with King Charles III Coronation Medal

March 28, 2025 - Congratulations to Therese Scheer, RMH Foundation volunteer, who was presented with the King Charles III Coronation Medal by MP Jamie Schmale at a surprise event on Thursday, March 27.
Since 2007, Therese has focused her boundless energy fundraising for advanced breast cancer imaging technology at Ross Memorial. With her friends - and their friends - organizing special events, lotteries and golf days, together they have raised $176,550 for breast health care at RMH.
Therese expressed her thanks to her fellow members of the Dunsford Lions Club who nominated her for the special honour.
“I like people. I try always to find the best in people. And it’s good to be involved, you learn so much.”
Therese spoke about the excellent care she and her husband had received at the Ross. Kim Coulter from RMH Foundation was honoured to be invited to the celebration to offer congratulations and thanks for Therese’s many years of exceptional caring.
“When Therese came to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation almost 20 years ago and said she wanted to begin fundraising – it wasn’t because she needed a hobby or wanted applause. It’s because of her own experiences and the loss of loved ones. She wanted to help.”
Through her kindness, her volunteer service, and her fundraising efforts, Therese helps others every day.
