Delivering exceptional care doesn’t start at the bedside. It requires the right team with the right tools. And it takes community support. Thanks to you, our community received a special delivery on June 7: a state-of-the-art CT scanner. To localize internal bleeding, to diagnose blood clots and stroke, and to guide cancer treatments, CT imaging is our Partner in Precision Care. Every donation makes a difference!
Did you know that RMH will be using a mobile CT Scanner until the community’s new CT Scanner is ready to go live in late June?
Did you know that the Ross Memorial’s 10-year-old CT Scanner completed more than 120,000 scans before it was removed on May 18?
“As a general surgeon, I am keenly aware of how important it is for patients to get CT scans as quickly as possible. To localize internal bleeding, to diagnose blood clots and stroke, and to guide cancer treatments … CT imaging is our partner in precision care,” said Dr. Jamie McNabb, RMH General Surgeon.
The pace of scientific advancements and 24/7 use of the community’s CT scanner are a challenge, and the Ross Memorial Hospital does not receive government funding to cover the cost of replacing this life-saving technology.
