FDC Foundation Makes Transformational Gift to Modernize and Expand Ultrasound Services at Ross Memorial Hospital
September 28, 2026 - Champions of accessible health care, FDC Foundation has made a $1,200,000 donation to Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation to transform ultrasound imaging services at Ross Memorial Hospital. To inspire even greater support for this high-priority hospital need, FDC Foundation is challenging the community to join them. Once $500,000 is raised, it will unlock an additional $500,000 match gift from FDC, bringing their total gift to $1.7 million!

Ross Memorial’s high-priority ultrasound project includes five ultrasound units, two echocardiography units for cardiac imaging, and five portable point-of-care ultrasound units dedicated to the ICU, Dialysis, OR, Internal Medicine and the Hospitalist Service for the rapid assessment and treatment of critically ill patients throughout the hospital. The project also includes advanced software such as cardiology picture archiving, as well as dedicated workstations, stretchers, and renovations that will enable more patient exams and reduce wait times.

Advanced ultrasound technology helps the Ross team save lives, guide treatment and improve pain and symptom management in every patient care area. Ultrasound is used to map, measure and guide procedures including central line placement, paracentesis, and IV insertion. Its precision imaging is instrumental in breast cancer care, detecting fetal abnormalities and problems in and around the heart. It is the tool of choice for diagnosing gall stones, early signs of kidney and liver disease and blood clots in the veins.
