June 6, 2017 - The Lindsay Kinsmen Club has a long and proud history, helping with a variety of local fundraising and service projects. The Club’s vision is to create “Strong, Healthy and Engaged Canadian Communities”.

The Club’s gift to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation today is perfectly aligned with that vision. Together, members Keith McDonald (president), Jim Spence, Doug Dent and Rick Merrell presented a cheque for $7,000 to Erin Coons, RMH Executive Director. The funds were raised by hosting St. Patrick’s Day and Hallowe’en video dances and will benefit the Cardiovascular Rehabilitation program.

Better known as Cardiac Rehab, the program assists people who have had a heart attack, heart surgery, symptoms of heart disease, or those who are at high risk of developing heart disease. The program provides education, exercise, monitoring and support for participants and their families.

“With this gift, the Lindsay Kinsmen are supporting the Hospital, its patients, and their members who have been patients of the program,” said Erin Coons. “We’re touched by the Kinsmen Club’s ongoing support for local patients and for the Hospital. With their donation today, the Club’s cumulative giving has exceeded $99,000. What remarkable generosity!”
